Certification
Audited by the Zambia Bureau of Standards
ICZ holds ISO 9001:2015 certification for its quality management system. The standard governs how work is specified, controlled, checked and corrected — from the moment you approve a specification to the moment the delivery reaches you.
For a buyer, certification means three practical things. The specification you agree is a controlled document, not a conversation. The checks on your product are performed to a written instruction and recorded. And when something goes wrong, there is a defined route to find out why and stop it happening again.
Certificate number, issue date and validity are published here once ICZ supplies the certificate document.

What we measure, and why it matters to you
Every test below is carried out here, on your job, and recorded against it. This is what each result tells you about the box you are buying.
Box compression (BCT)
Tells you how high the box can be stacked before the one at the bottom gives way.
Bursting strength
The board's resistance to a concentrated impact — a dropped case or a corner knock.
Grammage (GSM)
Confirms the board you are paying for is the board you received.
COBB water absorption
Predicts how the box behaves in cold chain, humidity and damp storage.
Dimensional inspection
A box that is 3 mm out will not run on an automated line.
Print inspection
The print is the customer's brand. It has to match, run to run.
Board quality inspection
Catches a board fault before it becomes a thousand faulty boxes.
Glue quality inspection
A box that opens at the joint has failed, however good the board is.

How control is actually exercised
Testing is the visible part. The system around it is what makes the result repeatable.
Your specification is a controlled document
What you approve is what the job is made to. It is recorded, and it does not drift between the first order and the tenth.
Tested before it is released
Board and finished cartons are tested against your specification. The results belong to your job, not to a general file.
Failures are held, not shipped
Product that does not meet the specification is stopped here. You find out from us, before it reaches your line.
A certificate of analysis per delivery
On request, each consignment can be delivered with a certificate stating the product, the specification and the results for that run.
Materials checked on arrival
Paper is checked against specification before it is used, so a supplier's problem does not become your problem.
Audited, not self-declared
The system behind all of this is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and audited by the Zambia Bureau of Standards.
