What we make, and how to specify it

Every style below is manufactured in Lusaka. Each page states the board options, what the style suits, and the information we need to quote it.

Grades, flutes and what they are for

A carton is a combination of liners and fluting. The right combination is the cheapest board that survives the journey — not the heaviest one available.

Paper grades held

White-top kraft liner

115 – 125 gsm

Outer liner

A white printing surface on a kraft base. Used where print quality carries the brand — beverage trays, food service, retail-facing cases.

Kraft liner

135 – 155 gsm

Outer or inner liner

Virgin-fibre liner with the highest strength of the liners held. Specified where stacking load and transit distance are the governing factors.

Test liner

125 – 160 gsm

Outer or inner liner

Recycled-fibre liner. The efficient choice for internal distribution and cases that do not need a premium print surface.

Semi-chemical fluting

115 – 150 gsm

Medium

The corrugated medium between the liners. Fluting does the work in compression — it is what makes a sheet of paper into a structural box.

Flute profiles

B flute

approx. 3 mm

Good crush resistance and a flat printing surface.

The general-purpose flute — cases, trays, pizza boxes, die-cut work.

C flute

approx. 4 mm

More cushioning and higher stacking strength than B.

Shipping cases and palletised distribution where load height matters.

E flute

approx. 1.5 mm

Fine profile, the best print definition of the three.

Retail-facing and die-cut packaging where the print carries the brand.

BE double wall

combined

Two mediums bonded between three liners.

Heavy or long-haul loads, and export cases handled more than once.
